Create animated slideshows with Jtvmaker

Jtvmaker is a freeware application with which you can create animated slideshows that you can embed in web pages or design albums for friends and family. You just need a little creativity and some patience.

After installing the program, you have to add some photos using the big plus button or pasting the images from your clipboard. Now you have to simply choose the desired transition effects and filters used for each slide.

Jtvmaker offers you a series of options for customizing your slideshow. You can choose the way your photos transition from one to another, the time for each picture to be displayed, the type of the text used for comments (captions) or the dimensions of the slides. You can also add effects to images like zoom, sepia, contrast and include audio and text files in your future masterpiece.

Pixelformer is a freeware application that fulfills the role of an advanced icon editor; it was designed to give you full control over every pixel of your images. With its features like subpixel precision you are able to create professional looking icons and quality bitmaps.

With Pixelformer 0.8.2.1 you can edit anything from icons and images to mouse cursors. These can also be extracted from ICL icon libraries. You can also create icons using large image files that can be resized when they are exported.

For editing you have a rich set of tools at your disposal, one of the most interesting being Magic Wand, which lets you select and apply the outline of different entities as a layer.

Use Pixelformer to modify the default icons in Windows. Do this by using the Import option from the File menu. Open the WINDOWSsystem32SHELL32.dll file, choose an icon and start editing!

3DVIA Shape Beta 2.0 is a free of charge application developed by Dassault Systemes that helps users create 3D models fast and easy. With the help of the tools offered by the program, you can draw everything from simple shapes like circles or rectangles to more complex elements.

After designing the basic lines, you can use the Push n Pull and Manipulate tools in order to shape the 3D models. 3DVIA Shape supplies a set of textures for you to apply on your objects. If those aren’t enough, you are able to create your own textures by using existing images. After creating the elements, set their position in the scene by using Manipulate again.

3DVIA Shape 2.0 features:

Easily build accurate models – Design 3D models in the right proportions with 3DVIA Shape’s measurement tools. Measure models with ease in meters or feet as you create them.
Remix – Use models that already exist on 3DVIA.com as a base to start your design, or add models into your current scene to create a 3D environment.
Paint models – Bring your models to life by adding color or textures. Choose colors or photorealistic textures, such as wood, tile or glass, from the 3DVIA Shape paint library and apply them to your model, or upload your own.
Share Models Online – Publish finished models directly to 3DVIA.com. Receive feedback and improve your skills!

At first, it might seem difficult to get around in 3DVIA Shape, so I suggest you watch the tutorial at the opening of the application. In order to use this freeware you must register (for free) for an account on their website. That’s not too bad, considering you are able to publish your models instantly, so everyone can view them.

Every internet user has used animated pictures, like GIF files, for avatars on forums or for their own website. Movies 13 will let you create or even edit existing images.

The aspect of the frames can be improved by using effects like: mirror, fog, image rotation and so on. You can even add elements like: box, line, cross, circle… Movies 13 will let you put text on your images, change it’s color, font or add shadows.

This piece of software offers you a timeline, so you can synchronize the frames as you wish. One of the best part is that you can convert the GIF file in AVI files and the other way around. The interface is a bit confusing at the beginning, but a few minutes spent editing will make you create professional looking animations.

Sqirlz Water Reflections – add effects to your photos

With Sqirlz Water Reflections you can add interesting effects to your photos. Besides the water reflection effect, you can add snow, rain or even rippling circles.

The interface is simple, every button suggests what it does due to the intuitive drawings. What you have to do is open your image or movie and select the Outline tool. Every effect that you will add can be set in every little detail, like the number of snow flakes or raindrops, their direction, transparency, speed, texture. You don’t have to edit just pictures were there is water drawn, the results are positive in every photo you wish to change.

Paradoxically, the effects are so realistic, that you might need to lower their quality if you have a not so fast computer.
